Ok folks...whenever I buy something online I always read the reviews about the product first. I buy alot of stuff online but I've never written a review...which seems ironic since I make my buying decisions based on other peoples reviews.

With this being my first product review,I'm going to start on a very positive note...I simply love this machine. When it arrived I used it right away and boy was I impressed. My floor as never been so clean!

We have a large great room with ceramic tile that is beautiful to look at but a pain in the neck/back to mop. I've tried sponge mops (takes way too long) then my cleaning lady suggested trying a rag head mop (too messy and I never felt like it was getting clean enough).

When I used this steamer/sanitizer I was absolutely thrilled with it. Here's what I like about it:
1. easy to use and manuever
2. lightweight and fast
3. thorough cleaning without the mess or having to buy cleansers
4. easy to store

I only have 2 suggestions---both having to do with cleaning head size:
1. we need a small attachment for use around toilets. ect. so it can be used to clean everything not just the open spaces.
2. a large attachment for larger open spaces to save time.


Get it, use it, love it. Finally....mopping made easy!

LOVE this steamer. There is a review on here that is amazingly detailed. Long, but worht the read. BUT...........one thing that I did not see in any of the reviews, and did not discover until I read the manual once i got the steamer............is that it is NOT RECOMMENDED for self stick tiles...which is what I have in both my Kitchen and my bathroom. Nevertheless, It works so well that I kept it and still use it.......I am just careful about how long i keep the steam on any one section of the floor. So far no problems with loose tiles. The steamer is amazingly well built..and my floors get amazingly clean.

I LOVE this mop! For the first time in almost two months since we moved into our house, my floors feel clean to the bottom of my feet. I walk around my house barefoot and, since I live in Germany, that is a lot of bare floors. At night I would crawl into bed with the most disgusting lint and dirt on the bottom of my feet. After using this mop last night, I am happy to say that my tile floors look and feel clean and so do my feet.

Assembly was not too tricky and pretty intuitive. You slide the handle into the top opening on the tank, and slide the plastic mop head into the bottom of the tank. Then you cover the mop head with a great microfiber cleaning pocket that velcroes shut so there is no slipping. It is super easy to use. You just pump it about 20 times to get it going. Then, as long as you keep a pretty good pace, you don't have to pump it again. It automatically pumps as you push and pull the mop. If you stop, or go super slow in places, you'll have to pump it some more to get the steam going again. I have to use a bulky transformer, since it is American voltage, and I live in Europe, but with it's super long cord, I only had to lug the transformer ONCE to change plugs for Kitchen, Dining room, Living Room, Hallway, AND Stairs. At first when I saw that the tank only holds about two cups of water, I thought I'd be filling it a lot, but nope, I only had to refill the tank once for my entire floor-- 4 cups of water for about 1000 square feet--that is amazing. And I only had to use one of the two included cleaning pads. When the cleaning pad got dirty, it was so convenient to just flip the entire mop head over without even bending over for second surface to clean with--definitely a plus for design. The mop comes with two microfiber cleaning pads of each type (triangular and rectangular) so I still have a spare if I need to use the mop again before I wash the first one. Speaking of the triangular pads--they go to the included triangular mop-head. I didn't use that one. The rectangular one did great even in my corners. The mop has a swivel feature, so it's easy to turn the mop to get into the smaller spaces. (Like behind the couches).

The floors were wet to the touch right after mopping, but were probably dry within 10 minutes. I can't think of anything I'd do to improve this mop.

We first bought this mop at Target and I was disappointed to find that the mop had clearly been returned and was dirty. Then, I found the mop on Amazon...I had it shipped overnight excited about the prospect of an easy to use mop.

This mop absolutely cleaned our horrid, well used ceramic tile. We have 2 large dogs and a crawling baby, so I don't want to use harsh chemicals. This mop works, period. It's easy to use and it got our floors cleaner than they've been in years. Regular mops just push dirt around. This thing seems to eat it or something. Walking barefoot after using it really tells the tale. And, it's quick and easy. Definitely sweep or vacuum first.

Saw some other reviews - the water left over is nothing to talk about. It's just normal wetness that would follow any mopping. And it dries quickly.

We also use it on our hardwoods, which are finished and glazed. Works thoroughly.

I ordered this Oxo grout brush to go with the Eureka Environ steam floor cleaner, but the brush came first, the steam cleaner took a month to arrive and still hasn't been used. I have been using the brush on grout and dirt on my tile floors (living, dining, kitchen and hall). The tile is rough textured and was hard on my nails when I tried scraping stuff off, but this little brush is doing a great job!
I have an Amazon parrot and her droppings were very hard to get up off the rough tile and grout. I am so glad I bought this brush! It's great and so far isn't
showing any sign of wear. My nails and paring knives thank Oxo for making the brush and Amazon for suggesting it when I was ordering the steam cleaner.

Why I chose to buy a steam mop:
1) after moving into a 2 story home, I realized that with joint and muscle ailments I couldn't handle wet mopping our floors.

2) my husband is sensitive to ANY chemical smells and being able to clean with water only meant I didn't have to wait until he was out of the house to mop.

3) with two cats and a husband whose schedule is constantly changing, the rapid drying aspect of steam mops is ideal for me.

Why the Haan:
1) the pads attach via industrial Velcro. With gimpy hands, I'd have trouble working with the clips that attach the pads on some models. The Velcro is brilliantly easy on my hands and the pads have stayed attached quite well during use.

2)the lighter weight - some say it doesn't clean as well because of that, but it was critical that I be able to carry it up and down the stairs even on my painful days. For my purposes, it has cleaned quite well at its weight.

3) research convinced me steam mops with the water tank on the base rather than on the handle are much easier to use.

I've been absolutely delighted with how well the mop has worked. We have kitchen tile that is moderately textured and this mop cleaned the low areas much better than wet mopping did. Also, I've discovered the sanitizing tray works wonderfully to clean the carpet after our long-hair cat throws up a hairball.

About 10 weeks after I bought the mop, the extension part of the handle broke and wouldn't stay in place. It was the weekend, so I emailed customer service. They declared that should never happen, couldn't be repaired & did I happen to have the receipt. I did and forwarded that to them. They had me call in to confirm our shipping information - and another friendly rep was surprised that this happened and was quite helpful. I had a new handle later that week, even though it was the midst of the Christmas shipping rush. It was one of the most pleasant customer service experiences I've ever had.

My first vacuum was the Eureka Altima. It looks pretty much just like this one same price ect. I bought that vacuum in November 2006. It did a great job for 3 straight years. It went from our apartment to now our town house. However it started to act funny...it would shut off unexpectedly, or not turn off. Something electrical and probably could have been fixed. But I convinced my husband it was time to retire our old vacuum. I have a 2.5 year old a 4 month old and a chow-chow. Being Christmas time and having the old vacuum acting weird I couldn't spend a lot of money.
When I found this vacuum I decided to order it. I am so glad I did. Once again I got a great vacuum for a great price. It picks up everything...It's no Dyson but for the price who can argue? It cost 1/5 of the cheapest dyson.
There are a few flaws: 1) the HEPA filter has to be cleaned often..I don't mind it because it gets the dust and stuff out. Also this is because I have a dog and the hair gets around it and it loses suction. 2) it does not have a bare floor setting...but once again it's ok with me. I tend to sweep my kitchen then use the hose to suck up the dirt. Our bedrooms are hardwood and I do the same as in kitchen.
If you have previously owned a Eureka I would encourage you to get this one.

I order this product to clean my hard wood floors in my kitchen and it does a good job. Except it is definitely to big to fit under the kitchen cabinets where they over hand over the floor and of course that always seems to be the places to get dirty first. I've never had a steamer before so I cant really say if it is better then any other, but I did read the reviews before I purchased and this one had the best. Also I purchase this because I was so tired of mopping my floor to see it looking dull and like there was residual cleaner left on it, the floor just never looked shiny like when we first got the flooring done and I though because this just uses steam it may help but it didn't really. Lastly when we received this unit it came with no instructions so I had to go online to find out how to use it and the manufacturer was no help and never responded to my email. I don't know if that how they come but I thought that was strange. If I could give one piece of advice order one with extra pads because mine only came with two and they have to be hand washed so that's not so easy.

I have three types of flooring; vinyl, sealed wood and tile. This steamer does a fantastic job on all of them. Some people note a dulling of the surface of shiny vinyl; this is true, but since I have cats and their litter box in the laundry room with the vinyl floor, cleanliness is better than shine, any day. The steamer works well on tile, very well. The floors seem to stay cleaner than if wet-mopped. I also like the fact I can wash the cover (the "magic cloth" waffle weave cloth that fits over the bottom.) Some people note that the cloths wear out; hint--don't bother to throw the washed cover in the dryer. It will fit better over the mop and last longer.

Points off for the cloths being expensive and a bit hard to find, if you want spares. And a point off for it needing refilling, at least on large expanses of floors. Other than that, this is a great way to clean and sanitize the floors. I like it a lot.

My first vacuum was the Eureka Altima. It looks pretty much just like this one same price ect. I bought that vacuum in November 2006. It did a great job for 3 straight years. It went from our apartment to now our town house. However it started to act funny...it would shut off unexpectedly, or not turn off. Something electrical and probably could have been fixed. But I convinced my husband it was time to retire our old vacuum. I have a 2.5 year old a 4 month old and a chow-chow. Being Christmas time and having the old vacuum acting weird I couldn't spend a lot of money.
When I found this vacuum I decided to order it. I am so glad I did. Once again I got a great vacuum for a great price. It picks up everything...It's no Dyson but for the price who can argue? It cost 1/5 of the cheapest dyson.
There are a few flaws: 1) the HEPA filter has to be cleaned often..I don't mind it because it gets the dust and stuff out. Also this is because I have a dog and the hair gets around it and it loses suction. 2) it does not have a bare floor setting...but once again it's ok with me. I tend to sweep my kitchen then use the hose to suck up the dirt. Our bedrooms are hardwood and I do the same as in kitchen.
If you have previously owned a Eureka I would encourage you to get this one.

I originally bought this product in March; I was quite happy with it until it started not to steam about 5 months later(most likely an isolated incident). I then got in contact with the company, and after we tried to troubleshoot the possible problems together on the phone, they made good on their warranty and IMMEDIATELY sent a new mop to my house free of charge. I am really really happy now with my replaced mop - it creates alot of steam and is very easy to manuever. I would suggest this particular mop and its seller to anyone who is looking to make the transition of using a steam mop -this company worked with me, backed up their word, and I am thankful for that. I love my steam mop and would never go back to the old bucket or a Swiffer! This mop does the trick, and you dont even have to rinse or dry - by the time you get to one end of the house, the other part you just mopped is dry!!!!!!

LOVE this steamer. There is a review on here that is amazingly detailed. Long, but worht the read. BUT...........one thing that I did not see in any of the reviews, and did not discover until I read the manual once i got the steamer............is that it is NOT RECOMMENDED for self stick tiles...which is what I have in both my Kitchen and my bathroom. Nevertheless, It works so well that I kept it and still use it.......I am just careful about how long i keep the steam on any one section of the floor. So far no problems with loose tiles. The steamer is amazingly well built..and my floors get amazingly clean.

This vacuum was all that the previous positive reviews said it would be. It made my carpet look new and feel extra clean because of the great suction. The option for bare floor use is great, given that half of my floors are tile or Pergo. I do agree that it does take some extra muscle to handle this "bad boy" I feel like it's worth it for the results.

The Bissell steam mop for bare floors is ready to blast away grime in just 30 seconds and gets the job done without the use of chemicals or detergents. Powered by a tank of tap water, the environmentally friendly mop shoots steam out of its 10-1/2-inch floor nozzle when you pull the handle trigger. The machine-washable terry-cloth mop pad wipes up the results. Slim and lightweight, the mop features an easily maneuvered swivel head with a conveniently shallow profile for under cabinets and shelves. It is safe for use on marble, ceramic, stone, vinyl, laminate, linoleum, and sealed hardwoods—all of which should dry after cleaning in a matter of seconds. This is a great product that works as advertised. My wife and I bought this about 4-5 years ago and is has worked very well getting our laminite wood floors clean. We have two large dogs and two kids so our weekly or twice weekly routine is to use the bare floor attachment on the cannister vacuum to pick p all dog hair and larger particles. We then heat up the Bissell with distilled water and put the mop-head on. It usually only take a couple of minutes to be ready to go.

Pros:

- Heats up quickly
- Really does steam the floors clean
- No residue
- Very little excess water on the floor and when there is, it can be taken up quickly
- Stores well in the broom closet

Cons

- Ours broke down after only 3 years. We liked it so much and there is nothing else like it so we will buy another one
- Cannot take up everything. Sometimes you still need to get down there a scrub a stubborn spot

I borrowed this product from a friend before I purchased it. It is simple and easy to use. I like that the water (therefore the weight) is at the bottom of the mop. I like that I can reuse the cleaning cloths. The time that it takes the floor to dry is significantly reduced with the steam clean and I like that I can use it on our laminate flooring as well as the tile. I wish the cord were longer. I have to get our heavy duty extension cord to reach all of our floor space. (Our entire first floor is ceramic tile). It takes a little while to get the cloth working when you first start. I've tried wetting it first, but I'm not sure that's a great solution. Overall, I like how the floors look and feel and for me it is "neater" to use than a traditional mop. I'm happy with my purchase.
